PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping material with a damping effect and an information-display function which shows a damping effect by just inputting or wrapping goods as they are without inputting a damping material later, enables a viewer to make information transmission, or to feel a good impression with a desired design or information in view of appearance, shows an excellent design effect, and affects no adverse natural environment. SOLUTION: The damping material has a sheet-like base material with the information-displaying part on the surface, and a damping member with an uneven part made by alternately bending the sheet-like base material in an irregular state. The damping member is overlapped on the reverse surface of the sheet-like base material in such a manner that the reverse surface of the sheet-like base material and the right surface of the damping member are bound in at least one end margin portion.
