PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cutting a storage tape capable of allowing a worker to easily set the storage tape to a cutting position, and hardly deforming a blade even if the device is dropped. SOLUTION: Sprocket holes 4, 4 of a storage tape 1 are fitted to pins 15, 15 of a supporting stand 16. When an operation unit 12B of an upper blade body 12 and an operation unit 13B of a lower blade body 13 are held in this supporting state, and the operation units 12B, 13B are brought close to each other against the urging force of a coil spring 21, the upper blade body 12 is turned together with a bolt 20, and the lower blade body 13 and the supporting stand 16 are turned around the bolt 20 to cut the storage tape 1. Associated with this cutting work, even if the cutting device 10 is mistakenly dropped, an upper blade 12A is protected by a protective part 14B of a protection body 14, and a lower blade 13A is protected by an extension part 16C of the supporting stand 16 to prevent any deformation of the upper blade 12A and the lower blade 13A.
