PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fold left and right side wall plates by a safe and simple operation. SOLUTION: In the transportation container, the pair of side wall plates 28, left and right, each have an upper side wall plate 20 connected so as to be rotated around a roof plate 12, and a lower side plate 24 (26) connected so as to be rotated around a bottom plate 16. The corresponding upper side wall plate 20 and the lower side wall plate 24 (26) are connected together by a rotating part 22 so as to be rotated. The roof plate 12 has an engagement part 10 that can be engaged with a lifting device (fork 52) used to lift the roof plate 12. In the basic position in which each side wall plate 28 is upright to the bottom plate 16, the rotating shaft 22a of the rotating part 22 is located further outside the transportation container than a rotating shaft 21a disposed between the roof plate 12 and upper side wall plate 20 and a rotating shaft 29a disposed between the bottom plate and the lower side plate 24 (26). By lifting the roof plate 12 by means of the fork 52 engaged with the engagement part 10, the side wall plates 28 are folded inside so that the rotating parts 22a for the corresponding side wall plates 28 come close to each other.
