PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part inspection apparatus, wherein work efficiency of the appearance inspection of parts from multiple directions is increased. SOLUTION: This part inspection apparatus 1 for inspecting rod-like works is provided with: a first carrying unit 12 capable of carrying works while placed thereon; a first inspection unit 13 for inspecting the works to be carried while placed on the first carrying unit 12; and a first sorting unit 14 sorting the works into non-defective products and defective products according to the inspection result of the first inspection unit 13. The first carrying unit 12 has a tapered disc 17 having a tapered part placing face formed with multiple grooves holding works and a motor driving the disc 17. A rotary shaft of the disc 17 is tilted in the vertical direction. The groove extends in the radial direction of the tapered disc on the part placing face with both ends opened, and the work can be held so that both end faces of the work are directed to the radial direction of the tapered disc.
