PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothesline box which can prevent laundry from being wet even in a sudden raining, is compact when not in use, provides an enough space for drying laundry, and is slidable and available for all weather. SOLUTION: This clothesline box 100 has a shielding ceiling 202, a shielding wall 204, a slidable box body and, inside the box body, a laundry pole that extends and contracts according to the extension and contraction of the box body. The box body consists of a fixed unit 210 fixed outside and a plurality of movable units 220 (the movable unit at the end is the end movable unit 230) which can be slid and moved. The movable units are contained in the fixed unit when the box body is contracted. The side face 232 of the end movable unit is a door and a push and pull handle 236 for sliding and moving the movable units. On the laundry pole, hook holders having a laundry-hooking function for hanging pinch hangers and the like are attached so that uniform intervals can be maintained automatically.
