PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sunshade devices M which each have an appearance of a monument, make their sheet bodies manually openable like petals, form an active arcade when arranged in plurality in parallel with each other in a commercial avenue, a street, etc. bring about festivity and healing effect of a town, each have a simple structure and shape, and allow component members thereof to be mass-producible. SOLUTION: The sunshade device is formed of: a main post 2 erected from a base board 1; posts 3, 4, 5, 6; sliding pipes 3a, 4a, 5a, 6a attached to tops of the posts 3, 4, 5, 6, respectively; bearing ribs 7, 8, 9, 10 inserted into the sliding pipes 3a, 4a, 5a, 6a, respectively; the sheet body 11 hooked at the tops of the bearing ribs 7, 8, 9, 10; a drain pipe 12 for elevating/lowering the interior of the main post 2; a movable member 13 for expanding/contracting the sheet body 11; a stopper 14 for stopping lowering of the movable member 13; and an operating rod 15 for operating the movable member 13 and the sheet body 11.
