PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial hair fiber having luster suitable for hair decoration goods such as braid, easy to braid, and excellent in processability, to provide a fiber bundle for hair decoration, which uses the artificial hair fiber, and to provide a method for producing the artificial hair fiber. SOLUTION: The artificial hair fiber is made from an acrylic polymer which contains≥30 wt.% of acrylonitrile, and has a fiber cross section which has a hollow triangle shape having nearly triangle hollow parts continuing in the fiber axis direction, and has a single yarn fineness of 25-70 dtex. The artificial hair fiber has favorable luster as hair decoration goods, and is easy to braid and excellent in processability, so the artificial hair fiber is used for hair decoration goods such as artificial hair fiber, especially, wig, hair piece, braid, extension hair, and doll hair. As a result of this, it is possible to obtain hair decoration goods which have excellent luster and good processability. The hollow triangle cross section fiber can be produced by spinning dope including an acrylic polymer by wet spinning, using a spinning nozzle whose hole shape is an almost U-shape.
