PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaping apparatus forming a uniform culm cutting pattern and having excellent durability by contriving the shapes of bed knife bodies and cutting blade bodies. SOLUTION: In the reaping apparatus 4 having a constitution in which bed knives 10 are made by arranging a plurality of the bed knife bodies 11 in parallel at fixed intervals horizontally, cutting blades 12 are made by arranging a plurality of the cutting blade bodies 13 in parallel at fixed intervals horizontally and the cutting blades 12 superposed on the bed knives 10 are reciprocated horizontally, the bed knife bodies 11 are constituted so that the shape of cutting parts 11c formed at both right and left sides of the blade part 11a of each of the bed knife bodes 11 is a recessed, curved or crooked shape thrusting into the internal side of each of the bed knife bodies 11 observed in the direction perpendicular to the surface of each of the bed knife bodies 11.
