An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to minimize the number of components and reduce a manufacturing cost by minimizing the usage of a gate driver in an ASG(Amorphous Silicon Gate) panel and to reduce a lead time without a compression process for compressing a source driver chip on a chip-on-film. An LCD(60), which has a liquid crystal panel(70) comprising an upper substrate and a lower substrate, comprises a gate driving part(13), a switching part, and a line selection signal generation part. A plurality of gate lines and data lines are formed on the lower substrate. One channel is connected to more than two gate lines. The gate driving part outputs a gate driving signal to the channel. In response to a line selection signal, the switching part controls the connections between the channel and the gate lines respectively. The line selection signal generation part controls the switching part by outputting the line selection signal so that the gate driving signal can be sequentially supplied to the gate lines. Turned on the line selection signal, the switching part supplies the gate driving signal to the gate lines. |
