The steplessly adjustable door locking device (1) for road vehicle doors has hydraulic pistons (8,9) movable in antiphase with piston rods (10,11) engaging on either side of a friction wheel (16). A housing (2) contains two cylinders (3,4) with hydraulic fluid (6) above the pistons. - Control valves (12,13) at the top of the cylinders have non-return valves (14,15) with spring-loaded conical valve bodies.
