<p>An apparatus and a method for displaying information grouped by a variable size on a touch screen are provided to reduce operational errors of a user by enabling the user to enlarge a wanted group area and to input an execution area. An apparatus for displaying information grouped by a variable size on a touch screen comprises an inputting unit(110), a determining unit(120), a display unit(130) and a controller(140). The inputting unit enables a user to input data on the touch screen where plural pieces of display information are grouped and the set number of group areas is displayed. The determining unit calculates a user's touch position on the touch screen, and determines which group area is touched by the user. The display unit displays plural pieces of grouped display information, and changes a size of one group area where the user touches while changing sizes of remaining group areas in accordance with the size of the touched group area. The controller controls the operation of each functional block such as the inputting unit, the determining unit and the display unit.</p> |
