A device for keeping a compact disk is provided to store many compact disks stably by ascending/descending supporting poles using a rack gear and a pinion gear. A device for keeping a compact disk comprises a body(10), a cover(20), a central lifting unit(30), a central supporting pole(40), three side supporting poles(50), a switch unit(60), and a CD mount unit(70) having an insertion groove(72). The lower end of the central lifting unit is fitted to a fitting hole of a lifting groove of the cover so that the upper part of the central lifting unit is inserted to the lifting groove. An ascending/descending protrusion is formed at the lower outer surface of the central lifting unit and is tooth-engaged with a rotary gear of a rotary motor. The lower end of the central supporting pole is fitted to a second drawing hole of the central lifting unit and being screw-combined to a first fitting unit of a combining member. One side of a rack gear is fitted into the central supporting pole. The central supporting pole has a first motor where a first pinion is installed to be tooth-engaged with the first rack gear. The lower end of the side supporting pole is screw-combined with a second fitting unit and pulled out through three first drawing holes respectively. One side of a second rack gear is fitted into a second housing. The side supporting poles have a second motor where a second pinion is installed. The second pinion is tooth-engaged with the second rack gear.
