<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can suppress voltage fluctuation when turning on or off the current to the heater, a current-carrying control method, program, and an image forming apparatus thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a two-way current-carrying means 17 to control the power supplied from the outside ac power supply and to supply the controlled power to the heater HT2 at every half cycle of the supplied ac power wave by phase controlling the supplied power from the external ac power supply, a multi-way current supply 16 to rectify the power supplied from the ac power supply and to supply the rectified current to the heater HT1 at a cycle shorter than the half cycle of the ac power supply wave, and an engine controller 26 to control the power supplied from the multi-way current-carrying means 16 and the two-way current supply 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
