<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which an error display can be flexibly changed by a user according to a state of use. <P>SOLUTION: A display format change reception part 203 receives a setting change instruction for the format to display an error item being displayed on an error display screen (AR24) and reflects the received content to an error display table T2 (AE25).
