<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode catalyst capable of improving power generation efficiency of a polymer electrolyte fuel cell by increasing three-phase interface without increasing the catalyst metal carrying quantity and by not hindering diffusion of a reaction substance, and to provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell using it, electronic equipment, and a power generation system. <P>SOLUTION: This is the electrode catalyst for the polymer electrolyte fuel cell which contains an element of which electro-negativity is in the range 2.0-4.0 on a surface of a carrier carbon of an electrode catalyst metal, and the polymer electrolyte fuel cell using the same, the electronic equipment, and the power generation system are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
