<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium excellent in sticking properties, scratching, head refuse, stamping properties and printability and further in recording sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal recording body which keeps a thermal recording layer containing a leuco dye, a developer, a lubricant, a pigment and an adhesive overlying a substrate. Herein a spherical silicone rubber powder is contained as the lubricant, and secondary particles having average particle diameters of 30-900 nm and formed by cohesion of amorphous silica primary particles of particle diameters of 3 nm to less than 30 nm are contained as the pigment.
