PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical water supply pump capable of securing stable installation attitude. SOLUTION: This vertical water supply pump has a structure having a motor installation bracket 19 formed as one unit with a pump casing cover 10 as a pump drive part 15 driving a pump shaft 12 of a pump part 1, and having a permanent magnet built-in type brushless synchronizing motor 16 installed on the bracket 19. Consequently, the pump casing cover 10 and the motor installation bracket 19 are miniaturized and lightened in weight, the motor is miniaturized and lightened in weight by using the permanent magnet built-in type brushless synchronizing motor 16. Since size of the motor installation bracket itself can be kept small by miniaturization and weight reduction of the motor, a whole body of the pump drive part 15 is greatly miniaturized and lightened in weight by synergy effect.
