PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibration generated at legs from being transmitted to a proximal part and leaked to a base from the proximal part. SOLUTION: In a crystal oscillator 1, a main body casing 11 with an internal space 12 is formed of a base 3 and a cap 4, and a crystal oscillation chip 2 is joined by two conductive bumps 52 on the base 3 in the internal space 12. The crystal oscillation chip 2 has the proximal part 23 and legs 22a, 22b projected from one end surface 231 of the proximal part 23. The proximal part 23 has an extension part 7 which extends from the side 232 of the proximal part 23 to the perpendicular direction of the projecting direction of the legs 22a, 22b. A joined area A1 to the base 3 by the conductive bump 52 in the crystal oscillation chip 2 is in a center area A2 in the width direction of the proximal part 23 and in a neighborhood area of the other end surface 233 of the proximal part 23 distant from one end surface 231 of the proximal part 23 having the projected legs 22a, 22b.
