PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing device for a wheel improving the assembling property of a socket and spigot joint member to an opening of a hub shaft and preventing rusting of a brake rotor and the wheel to a wheel socket and spigot joint part of the socket and spigot joint member without carrying out rust proofing work such as coating. SOLUTION: The hub shaft 20 is formed in bottomed cylindrical shaft shape hollow, opened on the flange 11 side of a hub wheel 10 and closed on the opposite side. The socket and spigot joint member 50 is assembled to the opening of the hub shaft 20 of the hub wheel 10. The socket and spigot joint member 50 has a fitting part 51 of small diameter fitted into the opening of the hub shaft 20, and a wheel socket and spigot joint part 52 of large diameter formed on the same centerline as the fitting part 51 and projected from one side face of the flange 11.
