PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysilane compound which has high fundamental physical properties, such as heat resistance and transparency, inherent in a polysilane and freely adjustable characteristics, such as insulation properties, refractive index, and water repellency. SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing polysilane compound includes fluorine-containing groups in a molecule of which at least one is bonded to a silicon atom of the main chain via an oxygen atom.
