PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptor which uses a battery pack of a different installation method, miniaturizing/compacting it by restraining its height and favorable in workability. SOLUTION: The adaptor 7 is furnished with: an insertion part 7B having a terminal inserted into a power tool main body and electrically connected to it; a pair of rails 7e to insert the battery pack in a direction roughly orthogonal with the inserting direction of the insertion part 7B; an operation side part 8A constituting a tool side latch means 8 to connect and disconnect to and from the power tool main body; and a receiver side part (engaging groove 7f) constituting a battery side latch means to connect and disconnect it to and from the battery pack. The adaptor is characterized by arranging the operation side part 8A of the tool side latch means 8 and the receiver side part (engaging groove 7f) of the battery side latch means in positions different as seen in the inserting direction of the insertion part 7.
