PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vise doubling as a vacuum chuck having a function of the vacuum chuck capable of fully holding a non-magnetic and even such thin and fragile material that might be broken when pinched and also having a function of the vise capable of rigidly pinching a workpiece. SOLUTION: The vise doubling as the vacuum chuck includes a base, a fixed jaw integrally formed with or fixed to the base, and a movable jaw which can move on the base.
