PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging machine with which the cutting off length of a wire rod can simply be adjusted to a fixed position. SOLUTION: The forging machine is composed of; a cutting-off device for cutting off the wire rod on the machine table arranged in the conveying direction of the wire rod; a stopper, with which the position along the straight line on the same axial line of the wire rod is shiftable and the sent wire rod is cut off at the fixed position; a position adjusting device composed of a movable seat linkingly connected with the stopper; a driving device connected with a movable seat and arranging a shifting means for driving the movable seat; and one or more of the fixed position devices which can be linked with the movable seat through a fluid pressure means so as to pour/spout a high pressure fluid, and in the case of pouring the high pressure fluid, the wire rod together with the movable seat are shifted to the fixed position in the machine table side, and in the case of spouting the high pressure fluid, the movable seat is left from the machine table and returned back to the movable state.
