PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application method of a lubricant to a bead part which is capable of uniformalizing the application of a lubricant to a bead part B (whole surface of the bead base part S) and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The inclination of the outer peripheral surface of upper and lower inclination parts 44, 45 on an application roll 41 is made the same as the inclination of a pair of bead base part S in a pneumatic tire T. Thus, the outer peripheral surface of the upper and lower inclination parts 44, 45 becomes almost parallel to the whole area of the axial direction of the bead base part S through the bead heel in applying the lubricant to the bead toe to bring into contact with the whole area of the bead base part S.
