The metal reinforcement (1,2), for porous or foam concrete, has at least one solid holding rod (5) with a nominal break point (6). The rods are aligned and positioned to be suspended vertically from a reinforcement holding frame and treated with a rust protection material. The frame with the reinforcements is positioned at a concrete mold where the fresh concrete hardens into solid blocks. The individual rods are separated at the fracture points and at least upper rod projections (46) are removed. The solid concrete is cut into the required shapes.
