Filter medium comprises a non-woven fabric and a number of polymeric fibers with a part made from a base polymer and a part made from a secondary polymer. A part of the polymeric fibers are joined to each other by a part of the polymer. The non-woven fabric is able to withstand a filtering temperature of more than 135[deg] C. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Method for filtering a fluid stream using the above filter medium; and (2) Method for the production of the filter medium.
