A system and a method for processing payment with a smart card in the mobile network are provided to pay goods purchased in an Internet shopping mall with electronic cash stored in the smart card, which is embedded in a mobile terminal. A mobile terminal(10) is equipped with a smart card(12), provides smart card authentication information and purchased goods price information, and receives a payment result from a shopping mall server(18). The shopping mall server processes a payment request by using electronic cash when the mobile terminal inputs selection for using the electronic cash stored in the smart card, receives the payment result from a PG(Payment Gateway) server(20), and transmits the payment result to the mobile terminal. The PG server requests the mobile terminal to confirm purchase by receiving the payment request from the shopping mall server, requests a payment approval by transmitting a purchase verification result and the purchased goods price information to an electronic cash management server(22), receives the payment result from the electronic cash management server, and transmits the payment result to the shopping mall server. |
