<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new diphthaloylpyrene-based compound which is high in photoelectric conversion efficiency and is useful as an electrophotographic photoreceptor and solar battery or photosensor, to provide a method for producing the diphthaloylpyrene-based compound, and to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor, a photoelectric conversion element, a solar battery, and a photosensor each using the diphthaloylpyrene-based compound. <P>SOLUTION: The diphthaloylpyrene-based compound represented by the general formula (1) [X<SB>1</SB>and X<SB>2</SB>are each identically or differently an alkyl, an alkoxy, an aryl, a halogen atom, nitro, or cyano or two or more thereof may simultaneously be substituted to form a ring structure; R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>6</SB>are each H, an alkyl, an alkoxy, an aryl, a halogen, nitro, or cyano; (n) is an integer of 1 to 4]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
