<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type water heater for preventing freezing of a water passage of a heat pump circulating circuit and a water passage of a refrigerant-water heat exchanger, even when power supply is stopped at time below the freezing point. <P>SOLUTION: This heat pump type water heater has a hot water storage tank 1 connected with a water inlet pipe 8 and a hot water outlet pipe 9 and storing hot and cold water, a heat pump type heating means 2 heating the hot and cold water in the hot water storage tank 1, the heat pump circulating circuit 4 connecting the hot water storage tank 1 to the refrigerant-water heat exchanger 3 stored in the heat pump type heating means 2 so that the hot and cold water can be circulated, and a heat pump circulating pump 7 arranged in the heat pump circulating circuit 4 and circulating the hot and cold water, and has an opening-closing means 16 for closing a valve in power supply and opening the valve when the power supply is stopped, in the water passage 15 constituting the heat pump circulating circuit 4 or the refrigerant-water heat exchanger 3. This opening-closing means 16 can prevent freezing even at the time below the freezing point, by draining the hot and cold water remaining in the water passage 15 of the heat pump circulating circuit 4 and the refrigerant-water heat exchanger 3, by opening a drain passage 17 when the power supply is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
