<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan system that enables protection a motor, when the motor is abnormal or when the motor has stopped rotation and improves the reliability and service lifetime, while preventing the motor from being damaged, and to provide its protection device. <P>SOLUTION: The protection device for the fan system receives a first input signal and includes at least one first switching element and at least one control unit. The first switching element receives the first input signal. The control unit is electrically connected with the first switching element and receives the first input signal so as to control conduction or non-conduction of the first switching element on the basis of the first input signal. When the first switching element is conductive, the control unit stops output of the first input signal.
