PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device capable of performing very quick transmission operation, without switching a scramble switch.

SOLUTION: The radio communication device comprises a modulation transmission means for modulating a sound signal or the like input from a microphone and transmitting it as radio waves: a reception and demodulation means for receiving the radio waves and demodulating it to a sound signal or the like; a sound scramble encoder for converting call contents of a sound signal into a scrambled signal unrecognizable by human hearing; a sound scramble decoder for decoding the scrambled signal to a signal which can be recognized by human hearing; a first PTT switch for inputting the sound signal input from the microphone directly to the modulation transmission means and bringing the radio transmitter to a transmission state; and a second PTT switch for inputting the sound signal input from the microphone to the modulation transmission means via the sound scramble encoder and bringing the radio transmitter to a transmitting state.
