PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile mat with high water-absorbing and drying properties, which is capable of quickly absorbing water contents of wet feet after taking a bath and scarcely giving sticky feeling to a user. SOLUTION: This pile mat is disposed with multiple piles P of an approximately columnar shape on a base cloth S. The base parts of the respective piles P are connected to the base cloth S. Each pile P has the approximately columnar shape, is formed by closely installed with non-water-absorbing filaments F of 0.3 denier to form approximately diametrically radially around the axis of the pile P and closely installed in the axial direction, and the approximately columnar outer peripheral face of the pile P is formed of tips of the respective filaments.
