PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorant composition characterized by using charcoal as the coloring effect. SOLUTION: The coloring composition is produced by using powdered charcoal obtained by baking and grinding an optional natural material, although the manufacturing processes being changeable in the order, and as a base material at least one kind from among biodegradable resins, recycled resins, thermoplastic and thermosetting resins. Replacing the carbon black used for the coloring effect contained in the conventional black-colored composition with the powdered charcoal eliminates the problem that the carbon black remains in the environment that causes a material containing a biodegradable resin to decompose. Altering a coloring raw material from a petroleum-derived one to natural resources is a consideration to the fear of the exhaustion of the petroleum raw material. Particularly a technique is provided which is useful in mixing in a raw material for an agricultural material containing a biodegradable resin. Even if a conventional general-purpose resin or a recycled resin is used as the base material, if a waste and the like such as wood is utilized as the raw material of the charcoal, it will lead to the effective use of resources.
