PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formulation of a surfactant not having influence on natural skin-indigenous bacterial flora almost or entirely, but capable of effectively preventing adhesion of stain to the skin. SOLUTION: The present invention provides use of an alkyl ether citrate in which a citrate mixture of ethoxylated alcohol corresponding to general formula: R1O(CH2CH2O)nH [wherein R1is a 6-22C alkyl group; n is an ethoxylation degree of 5-9] is used as the alkyl ether citrate.
