In an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, cost is reduced and configuration is simplified. The outdoor unit (3) of the air conditioner (1) is to be connected to an indoor unit (2) of the air conditioner (1). The outdoor unit is provided with a casing (31), an electric component unit (5), an electric component unit supporting member (312) and a shielding plate (6). The electric component unit (5) is arranged inside the casing (31), and has a terminal plate (53) to which a plurality of wirings from the indoor unit (2) can be connected. The electric component unit supporting member (312) has an opening positioned in the vicinity of the terminal section (53) and supports the electric component unit (5). The shielding plate (6) is provided with a covering section (61) for covering the opening, and a blocking wall (62) for supporting the wirings substantially without a gap and blocks the side of the electronic component unit (5) from the external side when the terminal plate (53) is arranged at the opening.
