The battery (10) has a set of individual cells e.g. consumer cells (12) such as mignon cells and nickel metal hydride cells, connected with one another in series by electrical links, where each side of series connection is connected with battery poles (15). The consumer cells are connected to clusters, and a housing (11) is made from aluminum. The consumer cells are selected in such a manner that a predetermined voltage is developed between the battery poles.
