The method involves determining weight of a vibrating part (3) of a pneumatic resilient vehicle seat by blowing up or blowing off air flow during simulation in an air spring (4), where the air flow necessary for blowing off or blowing up of the spring is based on the determined weight. A pressure sensor is used for determining the weight, where the sensor measures the pressure in the air spring. The flow that is blown off or blown up is determined from physical parameters of the seat and is evaluated, in which signals of a height adjustment is used and averaged over a time period.
