The transmission unit (1) has a transmission input shaft (3) supported in a transmission housing (2), which is provided with a feed-through (5) for a transmission output shaft (4). Two axial sealants (6, 7) are provided between the transmission output shaft and the transmission housing, and are attached to the feed-through for the transmission output shaft in the area of the feed-through. Each one of the sealants is formed as a gap-sealant, which works in a contact-less manner. An independent claim is also included for an electric motor for driving a vehicle.
