An aircraft advertising display system includes an emergency drop arrangement, including a ballast release mechanism for releasing ballast which will actuate after the system has been released from an aircraft but prior to the deployment of a deceleration device. Releasing the ballast prior to deployment of the deceleration device will ensure a controlled descent of the system.
