<p>A needle array type press fit terminal having a tapered guide portion provided on the tip side for guiding to the through hole of a substrate, and a fixing portion provided on the end side for connecting with an other terminal, wherein a joint being connected electrically with the through hole is provided between the guide portion and the fixing portion, the joint consists of a slit potion having a width penetrating between the surface and the backside and two beam members opposing across the slit portion, and the width of the joint decreases gradually toward the tip side and the end side from the maximum width at the center of the joint as the central position of the joint in the axial direction. The beam member is formed thinner on the tip side and the end side of the joint than at the center of the joint, and the length of the slit is such that the length from the center of joint to the tip side is longer than the length from the center of joint to the end side.</p> |
