<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device for preventing the deterioration of luminance due to the optical deterioration of a substrate while suppressing costs. <P>SOLUTION: An optical semiconductor device 1A includes: a substrate 2 having a concave portion 2a; a light emitting element 3 formed in the concave portion 2a for radiating the rays of light; a suppression member 4 formed in the substrate 2 for suppressing the rays of light radiated by the light emitting element 3 from being made incident to the side face of the concave portion 2a by covering the side face of the concave portion 2a, and a translucent member 5 formed in the concave portion 2a for sealing the light emitting element 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
