<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content reproducing system by which another cliant can start the reproduction of content from an address, where the reproduction is stopped in a certain reproducing apparatus, with a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: When transmitting a stop request from a remote controller 100 to a client 200A, the remote controller 100 acquires a position to stop reproducing content from the client 200A and stores the relevant position as a next position to start reproduction. When transmitting a reproduction request to another client 200B thereafter, the remote controller 100 transmits content specification information and the reproduction starting position to the client 200B.
