<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display items responding to a knowledge level of a user in order. <P>SOLUTION: A course menu is displayed to provide the user with selection of a course from a "beginner" course displaying all items including mandatory items of a plurality of items to be displayed as a setup manual, an "intermediate" course of displaying the mandatory items and some other items, and a "veteran" course displaying only the mandatory items. When a course is selected, items included in the selected course are considered as display items, an order of the display items displayed in the menu is set as a display order, and the display items are displayed in the set display order following operation of the user for next display. As a result, the items can be displayed in order in response to the knowledge level of the user.
