PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plurality of screen modes, to optimize layouts of respective screens, and to improve visibility and functionality of a display screen by switching screen modes.

SOLUTION: Electronic equipment (mobile terminal device 2) having a display function in a case part which can be rotated and/or opened and closed comprises a display unit (18) which displays a portrait screen or landscape screen and a control unit (CPU 90) which changes the screen layout in accordance with the portrait or landscape screen displayed at the display unit. The change of the screen layout according to the portrait or landscape screen includes arrangement change of icons.
