<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for correcting a positional shift of a machining unit, which prevents the deterioration of the machining accuracy due to the distortion of a frame, and also largely reduces the adjusting time necessary for correcting the positional shift due to the distortion of the frame, and further to provide its correcting method. <P>SOLUTION: The machining position of a machining head 6 which advances and recedes along the frame 4 arranged above a test workpiece occasionally shifts by the distortion of the frame. Then, the machining head and an imaging means 7 are fixed to the positions separated by a specified offset, and the test workpiece is machined at three positions in the Y direction. After that, a moving means 5 is moved in the Y direction from the positions corresponding to the coordinate values of the machined portions by the specified offset, and the image of respective machined portions are taken by means of the imaging means 7. Then, the coordinates of the central positions of the machined portions the image of which is taken are extracted, and the positional shift is measured from the central positions of the machined portions and the center of the image taken the imaging means. Then, an average positional shift is calculated from the positional shifts at the respective machined portions. In an actual machining operation, the movements of the moving means 5 and a machining table 3 are corrected by the average positional shift. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
