<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple cylinder internal combustion engine simplifying control, and having advantage in thermal load or vibration. <P>SOLUTION: The multiple cylinder internal combustion engine provided with a cylinder head 5, 6 provided with intake valves IV and exhaust valves EV, valve gears opening the intake and the exhaust valve IV, EV, and a cylinder head covers 7, 8 forming a valve gear chambers storing the valve gears therein together with the cylinder heads 5, 6, and deactivating a cylinder by deactivating at least a part of valve gear 33 of the valve gears, is characterized by being a V-type internal combustion engine provided with a front bank Bf and a rear bank Br, and using the cylinders at both end sides in a crank shaft 2 direction as normally operating cylinders. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
