PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for twisting a conductor in which interference of an elevation mechanism for shifting the axial position can be prevented when a plurality of conductors arranged in multilayer are twisted in the circumferential direction. SOLUTION: The device for twisting a plurality of electric conductors arranged radially while projecting from the end face of an annular stator core in the axial direction in order to twist the plurality of electric conductors in the circumferential direction comprises a plurality of tubular ringlike holding portions for holding the distal end of a plurality of electric conductors and pressing the distal end in the direction of central axis of the stator core, a rotary drive mechanism for rotating the plurality of ringlike holding portions, respectively, and a plurality of elevation units 410-480 for rotating the plurality of ringlike holding portions by the rotary drive mechanism and shifting the plurality of ringlike holding portions separately in the direction of central axis wherein the plurality of elevation units 410-480 are arranged while being stacked partially in the direction of central axis.
