PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact low loss switching power supply. SOLUTION: In an AC/DC conversion circuit, a DC voltage VD1 is created by rectifying and smoothing an AC voltage VA, a DC voltage VD2 is created by turning a transistor 9 on/off, the voltage VD2 between the terminals of a capacitor 12 is transmitted to a capacitor 15 by turning transistors 13, 14 and 16, 17 on alternately, and the voltage VD3 between the terminals of the capacitor 15 is transmitted to a capacitor 18.
