PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent pores and fine wrinkles from being displayed in detail even if enlarging the image of a person by image processing, and to acquire an image, where the detailed portion of a distant view, a distant person, or the like can be enlarged and displayed by image processing. SOLUTION: A camera 1 has: an imaging means 5 for acquiring an image; a magnification detection means 6 for detecting a photographing magnification; and an image adjustment means 7 for changing at least one of the resolution and contrast of the image acquired by the imaging means 5. In the camera 1, the image adjustment means 6 makes an adjustment to resolution or contrast that is lower than the resolution or contrast that can be acquired by the imaging means 5, when the photographing magnification detected by the magnification detection means 6 is larger than a prescribed magnification.
