PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple optical fiber cable in which a tear string is located in a position to expose about a half or more of the tear string cross section so that the tear string easily falls off from an outer sheath when an impact is made on the cable. SOLUTION: The multiple optical fiber cable has such a structure as a plurality of single core coated optical fibers 34 of which each optical fiber is provided with covering on the periphery are gathered straight or twisted together, and are provided with the outer sheath 31. Also, the multiple optical fiber cable with the tear string 33 on the inner surface of the outer sheath 31 in order to take out the single core coated optical fibers 34 is characterized in that the tear string 33 buried in the outer sheath is located in the position to expose a half or more of cross section of the tear string 33 from the outer sheath 31 so that the tear string 33 falls off from the inner surface of the outer sheath 31 against an impact made on the outer sheath from the outside.
